Beginning in 2006, Fasulo served as Chief of International Relations for the U.S. Olympic Committee (USOC), where he revised, relaunched, and re-energized the committee’s international relationships and image. In this role, he served as the senior international diplomat and advocate for the USOC across all Olympic and sport organizations.
Prior to the USOC, Fasulo was the Director of the Association of Summer Olympic International Federations (ASOIF) in Lausanne, Switzerland. Concurrent with his duties at ASOIF, Fasulo served in various roles for the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) from 1990 to 2001, including Chief of Staff, Senior Advisor, and Assistant to the President. Working in London, Monaco, and Rome during his tenure, Fasulo played a substantial leadership role for the world governing body for athletics during a period when sport was enjoying its greatest growth globally.
From 1998 to 2002, Fasulo was also Secretary General of the International Athletic Foundation (IAF), the charitable arm of the IAAF. There, he managed a $20 million endowment and developed grant criteria, donation guidelines, financial policy, project monitoring, and athlete award programs. As part of this responsibility, he also served as executive producer of the annual World Athletics Gala in Monte Carlo.
Fasulo graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Communications from the University of Portland, where he was a member of the track& field team. A year after graduating, he moved to Italy following a 1,700-mile cycling tour through Europe. He resides in Southern California with his wife, Peta, and two children, Micaela and Luca.
