Carlos Silva
Managing Director

Entrepreneur-in-Residence

Silva brings his operational and management expertise as well as his deep connections in endurance sports to his role as Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Park Lane. His track record in the sports media and digital spaces and his achievements as a triathlete lend to his responsibilities of advising on acquisitions and capital raises in the areas of cycling, marathons, triathlons, and other related sports.  Carlos currently serves as an Executive Advisor and Operational Consultant to AccuSport, Back9 Network, Street League, Swink.tv, and The Whistle.

Previously, Silva led the strategy and operations of Universal Sports as President and COO after being recruited by the original founders and investors in early 2006. There, he executed syndication agreements with Fox Sports, Yahoo Sports, and AOL Sports to grow awareness of then-World Championship Sports Network (WCSN). These deals solidified WCSN as the leader of world championship, Olympic-style sports in the U.S.

Two years later, Silva led WCSN in raising $35 million and created a partnership with NBC to launch the sports cable TV network in 10 million homes.  USTV is now in 68 million homes and is a top 10 digital sports property. He was also the Co-Executive Producer of the Vancouver News and Update shows for Universal Sports during the Olympic Games.

Prior to Universal Sports, Silva ran some of the largest Web destinations in the world: AOL News, AOL Sports and AOL Money. As an accomplished strategist, Silva is highly skilled in business development, general management, operations, content licensing, product design and recruiting.

Silva holds a B.S. from Boston College and M.S. degree from George Washington University.
