Benjamin F. Cary
Director, Prometheus Partners

Ben Cary is a Managing Director with Broadway Advisors, LLC, a boutique management consulting firm focused solely on advising and assisting financially and operationally troubled companies. He has worked and consulted within a variety of industries including multi-unit retail, restaurants, direct marketing and service businesses.

Before joining Broadway Advisors, LLC, Cary was a director with Prometheus Partners, a private equity fund established to invest in growth companies within fragmented industry sectors undergoing consolidation. He was responsible for deal sourcing, structuring, execution and monitoring.

Prior to Prometheus Partners, Cary served for five years as a Senior Vice President of Trinity Capital, LLC, a boutique investment banking firm that provides financial advice to middle market businesses regarding mergers and acquisitions, leveraged and management buyouts, debt restructuring and private placements of debt and equity. His responsibilities included the development of cash flow forecasts and projections and recasting of restructured operations to reflect cost reduction, consolidation of operations and revenue enhancement initiatives. While with Trinity Capital, Cary led several sell-side, refinancing and restructuring engagements for leading retail and restaurant franchisors and franchisees.

Previously, Cary was an independent consultant providing turnaround management and strategic advisory services to middle market companies, including the largest domestic direct marketer of nutritional supplements. Before assuming this role, Mr. Cary was responsible for internet and media mergers & acquisitions for Broadview International, LLC, a boutique investment bank, and held corporate finance and management positions with Goldman Sachs and Metromedia International. While at Metromedia International, he provided financial consulting and reporting for media broadcast ventures in Eastern European and CIS cities, including Berlin, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Riga, Tallinn, Almaty, Minsk, Bucharest and Prague.

Cary was a dual track senior associate at Coopers & Lybrand, where he performed both financial auditing and financial modeling and provided information technology services for Fortune 100 clients including Atlantic Richfield Oil Co., Avery Dennison, Epson America and ICN Pharmaceuticals. Cary earned his MBA from the Harvard School of Business and his BS in Accounting from the University of Southern California. He is a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds Series 7 & 63 certifications.

Brian Dunn
Founder and President, Aquillian

Brian Dunn serves as Park Lane’s Regulatory Compliance Officer. He founded Growth Capital Services in 2001, creating a broker-dealer firm for independent agents. Growth Capital Services offers regulatory infrastructure to individual and institutional investors primarily for private placements.

Previously, Dunn was a founding partner of Aquillian Investments, a leading private investment firm oriented towards sustainability. He guided the firm’s financial, legal, and operational implementation from the firm’s first days.  In his current capacity at Growth Capital Services, he maintains a strategic affiliation with Aquillian, calling on its research capabilities and serving on its advisory board.

Dunn learned the craft of investment banking at Tennyson West, a boutique capital advisory firm located in San Francisco. He worked on private equity deals ranging from $10 million to $100 million in value, specializing in the natural foods category. Previously, he served as the first staff member of Investors’ Circle, a national angel investment group that has facilitated more than $150 million in private investment capital.

Dunn has canoed the Congo, Yukon, and Amazon; bicycled from San Francisco to New York; and stepped on the soil of nearly one hundred countries.  He spent his pre-graduate years working in microenterprise development in Ouagadougou (West Africa), Brazil, Haiti and Mozambique. Now settled in San Francisco with his wife and daughter, he swims frequently in the Bay’s cold waters, and is proud to serve on the board of Save the Bay, a 50-year-old organization that protects, restores, and celebrates San Francisco Bay.

Dunn has FINRA Series 7, 24, 27, 63, and 65 registrations. He earned a BA from UC Berkeley, an MA in International Economics from Johns Hopkins University, and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business.

E. Eric Johnson
Chairman Emeritus of TBG Financial

Prior to becoming Chairman Emeritus of MullinTBG Financial, Johnson served as Chairman of Johnson & Higgins of California and Executive Vice President of Johnson & Higgins of New York.

Johnson is the Vice President of the Southern California Tennis Associations and is a member of the Parker Police Foundation. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the California Heart Center and is also a past Chairman of the UCLA Medical Center and KCET Public Television.

Johnson is a graduate of Stanford University.

Barry J. Siegel
Executive Managing Director and Managing Partner
Provident Financial Management

On April 1, 1982, Barry Siegel was one of the founding partners of the business management firm of Siegel & Feldstein, with offices in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Nashville, Boston and Charlottesville.  In the 1990s, the firm expanded and changed its name to Provident Financial Management.  In February of 1997, Provident Financial Management was acquired by American Express and subsequently by RSM McGladrey.

Today, Provident is among the largest business management firms in the United States handling the financial affairs of individuals in the entertainment and sports industries. Some of Mr. Siegel’s clients include Elvis Presley Enterprises, Priscilla and Lisa Marie Presley, Lionel Richie, Barbara Orbison and the Roy Orbison estate, Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons, Air Supply, Tom Collins Enterprises, Dashboard Confessional, and Mike Judge (writer/animator; creator of King of the Hill and Beavis & Butthead).  Mr. Siegel is also an investor in two Broadway musicals (Jersey Boys and Xanadu) and sits on the Board of Governors of the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.  He is also the Trustee of Elvis Presley Enterprises.

Barry Siegel attended Cal State Long Beach and Woodbury University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration.  He was a partner in the international CPA firm of Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman from March 1972 through March 1982.

Mr. Siegel is married, has four children and resides in Marina Del Rey, California.
